WASHINGTON, DC. – Alaskan Congressman Don Young today released the following statement in response to President Obama’s failure to produce a budget proposal to Congress by the February 4th deadline:
“For the fourth time in five years, the White House, under President Obama’s leadership, has failed to deliver a budget to Congress on time, which is completely unacceptable,” Rep. Young said.
“This whole process starts with a budget proposal from the President that reflects a willingness to work with House Republicans. I look forward to working this week to pass H.R. 444, the Require a PLAN Act, legislation that will hold the Executive branch accountable for its actions. In order to get this country’s financial house in order, leaders in Washington must show fiscal restraint and make tough choices through a responsible and timely budgetary process.”
