WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Alaska Congressional Delegation is pleased to announce a series of grants to local communities, groups and agencies in the State of Alaska.
Department of the Army:
A grant of $6,653,264 has been awarded to Nana Pacific. This contract provides construction of a new antenna addition, a new weather vestibule between two existing buildings, relocating a previously removed fuel storage tank, and expanding the area within the security fence at an existing Defense Satellite Communications System facility. All work will be performed at Fort Greely.
Department of Health and Human Services:
The Health Resources and Services Administration Division of Grants Management Operations have announced a grant award of $544,335 to the Kodiak Island Health Care Foundation.
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation:
$29,700 to the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services to assist in transforming public health information systems.
$15,300 to the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium for improving the oral health of Alaska Natives by using rural outreach trips to gain support for the Dental Health Aide Therapist program.
$255,789 to the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association for the Partners Investing in Nursing’s Future program.
$69,855 to the Juneau Affiliate Inc. National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence to support an ordinance to end smoking in bars and private clubs.
$513,762 to the Cook Inlet Tribal Council for transitional housing, education, and therapy programs for Alaska Native vulnerable populations.
