Congressman for All Alaska Don Young voted today in support of H.Res. 179, expressing support for a National Foster Parents Day. 

“Foster parents are a special breed of people who are willing to wholeheartedly devote themselves to the care of our younger generation,” said Congressman Young.  “As the grandfather to a few children who joined our family as foster children, I take this issue personally, and have seen first-hand that amount of love that is shared between foster parent and child.  I believe we should have a day that celebrates these extraordinary people, and what they offer to our nation’s growing minds, and for that reason, I voted in favor of the Resolution.”
