Rep. Young Announces Recent Staff Changes

Alaskan Congressman Don Young is pleased to announce recent staff changes in his Anchorage district office and his Washington, D.C. office:

ANCHORAGE:

Chad Padgett recently joined the office as State District Director after serving eight years as a Presidential Appointee to USDA Farm Service Agency and 2 years as a dual appointee with the addition of acting State Director for USDA Rural Development.  Prior to that, Chad was Deputy Director for Rep. Young.  Chad came to Alaska in 1985 and is married to lifelong Alaskan Kambe Padgett with whom he has four children.

Tara Risinger has been hired as a special assistant for Rep. Young, dealing with constituent concerns, casework, and academy nominations. Prior to joining Rep. Young’s office, Tara worked for the Law Offices of Guess & Rudd P.C.  She has lived in various places in Alaska since moving there at the age of eight.

WASHINGTON, D.C.:

Pamela Day has been named Chief of Staff for Rep. Young’s D.C. office.  Pam started in Rep. Young’s office in March 2003 as a Senior Legislative Assistant handling education, health, and labor issues.  She was promoted to Legislative Director in January 2006 and then Deputy Chief of Staff in July 2007.  Prior to her time in Rep. Young’s office, she worked as a Legislative Assistant in the office of Rep. Ben Gilman (R-NY). 

Jeremy Price has been promoted to Legislative Director from Legislative Assistant.  Jeremy handles issues such as Transportation and Infrastructure, Coast Guard, and Homeland Security.  Jeremy joined Congressman Young’s office in October 2005 as a Staff Assistant after graduating from Utah State University.  He was born and raised in Salcha, Alaska.

Holly Croft has been promoted from Staff Assistant to Legislative Correspondent, dealing with issues such as Health Care, Education, Elections, and Family Values.  Holly came to Rep. Young’s office in May 2008 from the office of Congressman John Boozman of Arkansas.  She was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia.

Paul Milotte has been promoted from Scheduler/Office Manager to Legislative Correspondent, dealing with issues such as Taxes, Immigration, Budget, and Government Reform.  Paul joined Rep. Young’s office in January of 2008 after graduating from Virginia Tech.  Prior to graduating, he worked as a Staff Assistant for Congressman Duncan Hunter Sr.  

Mary Hiratsuka has been hired as the Executive Assistant for Rep. Young.  Her responsibilities include the Congressman's personal schedule, office management and Indian Affairs.  She is a recent graduate of Dartmouth College and was born and raised in Dillingham, Alaska.

Taylor Nelson has been hired as the Staff Assistant for Rep. Young’s office.  Taylor previously worked as a Staff Assistant for Senator Ted Stevens, handling some correspondence on banking and housing.  He grew up in South Anchorage and attended Robert Service High School.
