Alaskan Congressman Don Young has been selected to represent Region One on the Republican Policy Committee, representing Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Colorado.  The Committee serves as the principal forum for the consideration of forward-looking legislative initiatives and an important means for every member of the Republican Conference to develop sound legislative ideas into meaningful legislation. 

“I am honored to serve the northwest region in this capacity,” said Rep. Young.  “This committee is responsible for developing legislative goals for the Republican Party, for advancing our ideas and for communicating those ideas to the public.  Anyone who knows me knows I am passionate about my beliefs and about Alaska and the Western states and all they represent.  I look forward to ensuring the Western states are properly represented when forming policy and to working with my colleagues to advance the ideals of our great country.”
