Alaskan Congressman Don Young is pleased to announce his Committee on Natural Resources assignments for the 111th Congress.
Rep. Young will sit on:
The Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests and PublicLands
The Subcommittee on Insular Affairs, Oceans and Wildlife
The Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources
“In representing the State of Alaska, I could not have asked for better assignments,” said Rep. Young. “I have sat on the Resources Committee, through all of its different titles, since I entered the U.S. Congress. Alaska is saturated with natural resources and I am proud to serve the state on this Committee. These subcommittees are of the utmost importance to my mission of utilizing Alaska’s resources in the most responsible ways possible. I requested each of these subcommittees and am appreciative that my experience and leadership on these issues, as well as my ability to work across party lines, were recognized. I look forward to working with our new Ranking Member, Doc Hastings, and my good friend Chairman Rahall on all of the incredibly important issues brought before this committee and to a successful 111th Congress.”
