Alaskan Congressman Don Young voted today in favor of H.Res. 34, Recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza, reaffirming the United States’ strong support for Israel, and supporting the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
“Like any man, woman, child, or country, Israel has the right to defend itself and its people,” said Rep. Young. “Israel, like the United States, is a freedom-loving country, and it’s a shame that other nations feel threatened by that. Israel is our friend, and we must stand by it and support it. By passing this Resolution, we condemn the evil actions of Hamas and support freedom for the people of this country, of Israel, and for all those who seek it.”
