Alaskan Congressman Don Young is pleased to announce his Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee assignments for the 112th Congress.
Rep. Young will sit on:
The Subcommittee on Indian and Alaska Native Affairs -- Chairman
The Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife, Oceans, and Insular Affairs
The Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests, and Public Affairs
“I am very pleased with my Subcommittee assignments,” said Rep. Young. “From our Alaska Natives to our vast natural resources, Alaska is affected by the actions of the Natural Resources Committee more than any other state in the nation. Alaska’s Member of Congress has sat on the Resources Committee since statehood, and I have sat on the Resources Committee, through all of its different titles, since I entered the U.S. Congress. I requested to sit on each of these subcommittees, because they are of significance to our State and they will put me in a great position to ensure Alaska’s needs are met. I look forward to working with Chairman Hastings on all of the important issues brought before this committee and I look forward to a successful 112th Congress.”
