Alaskan Congressman Don Young released the following statement this afternoon in response to an Executive Order signed by the President to establish an interagency working group to coordinate domestic energy development and permitting in Alaska:

“I am pleased that the Administration is seemingly taking Alaska resource development more seriously.  Time will tell if this working group helps streamline and expedite the process, as I hope it will, or if it adds another level of bureaucracy and red tape.   In the meantime, I commend the President for taking a positive step in the right direction.”
