Congressman Young Announces Staff Changes

Alaskan Congressman Don Young today announced the following staff changes in his Washington, D.C. office:

Luke Miller has been promoted from Staff Assistant to Press Secretary. Born and raised in Juneau, AK, Luke joined Congressman Young’s office fulltime in July 2010 after graduating from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Business Management. Additionally, Luke served as an intern in the Congressman’s office during the summer of 2008. As Congressman Young’s Press Secretary, Luke will be responsible for internal and external communications and media relations. Luke is a 2006 graduate of Juneau Douglas High School.

Kim Wilczak will now serve as Staff Assistant for Congressman Young. Kim is from Herndon, VA and joined Congressman Young’s office in February 2011 as an intern. As a Staff Assistant, Kim will greet visitors to the Congressman’s office, arrange tours for constituents and provide general assistance to the Congressman and the rest of his staff.

“I am pleased to announce these two promotions today,” said Rep. Young. “As someone who grew up in Alaska, Luke’s knowledge of the state and commitment to serve his fellow Alaskans makes him the ideal candidate to serve as my new press secretary. As the first and last person Alaskans see when they visit my office, a great deal will be asked of Kim, but I know that with the dedication and enthusiasm she has shown, she will excel in her new position. I look forward to Alaskans getting to know Luke and Kim better.”
