Statement From Rep. Young On BOEMRE Releasing Final SEIS For The Chukchi Sea Oil And Gas Lease Sale 193

Alaskan Congressman Don Young released the following statement today on the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement (BOEMRE) releasing the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for the Chukchi Sea Oil and Gas Lease Sale 193:
“This is a positive development for Alaska’s economy. While many outside groups continue to do all that they can to lock up Alaska’s resources, Alaskans have once again shown through their public feedback and input, the importance of resource development. American energy independence ought to include Alaska and today’s news is one more positive step towards making this a reality. I will continue to work to ensure our nation has a comprehensive energy plan that includes Alaskan resource development.”
