Statement From Rep. Young On The 10-year Anniversary Of September 11th

Alaskan Congressman Don Young released the following statement regarding the 10-year anniversary of the September 11th attacks:
“Ten years ago a war was waged on our country by a group of individuals hell-bent on bringing harm to America. While our country has stood together and persevered, it is important to keep in mind that we are still a nation at war. Americans are still fighting all across the world to protect the freedoms and way of life that makes America the greatest nation on earth.
“Alaskans have played and continue to play an important role in the Global War on Terrorism. I am humbled by their commitment to service and the sacrifices they and their families have made in defending our great Nation. Today, while honoring the thousands of lives we lost a decade ago; let us also pay tribute to the strong men and women in uniform who continue to lay their lives on the line each and every day.”
