Congressman Young Announces Staff Change

Alaskan Congressman Don Young today announced the following staff change in his Washington, D.C. office:
Alex Ortiz has been hired to serve as Scheduler in Rep. Young’s Washington D.C. office. After graduating from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, Alex worked for Senator Ted Stevens as a Legislative Correspondent for two years. As Congressman Young’s Scheduler, Alex’s responsibilities will include maintaining Rep. Young’s personal schedule as well as answering constituent requests for general information, tours and flags. Alex is a 2003 graduate of Ketchikan High School.
“I am happy to announce Alex’s addition to my D.C. office,” said Rep. Young. “Having grown up in Ketchikan and then working for Senator Stevens, Alex knows the state and the issues facing Alaskans. I am confident that he will hit the ground running as my new scheduler.”
