Congressman Young Announces Nominees for United States Military Service Academies

WASHINGTON, DC – Alaskan Congressman Don Young today announced his official list of Alaskan students nominated for appointment to a United States Service Academy for the class of 2018.

“Once again, I am honored to nominate such a talented group of young Alaskans for appointment to our nation’s military service academies,” Congressman Don Young said. “As some of our state’s best and brightest students, these young men and women have all demonstrated exceptional leadership, strength of character, and academic prowess both in and out of the classroom. I am proud to nominate this group of young Alaskans committed to serving and protecting their country. I know they will make us all very proud as our next generation of servicemen and women.

Only the first step in acceptance to a U.S. Military Service Academy, a congressional nomination does not guarantee selection; students must now go through the rigorous acceptance process of their respective academy.
