Washington, D.C., May 1, 2015 | comments

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Alaska’s Congressional Delegation today announced it will hold the 2015 Federal Grants Symposium at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and visit with representatives from federal agencies offering grants and loans. Additionally, The Foraker Group, Rasmuson Foundation, and Alaska Community Foundation will provide educational seminars highlighting information about federal grant and loan processes, along with tips to take advantage of potential funding opportunities.

WHAT:          Federal Grants Symposium

WHEN:          Wednesday, May 27, 2015; 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

WHERE:        Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center

                        Anchorage, AK

Since federal grants and loans are distributed by individual agencies – all with different guidelines and procedures for program eligibility – finding out specific information as a grant applicant can be challenging. This event will help streamline access to information and provide an invaluable opportunity to speak directly with agency officials. Alaska’s Congressional Delegation is pleased to facilitate this event to help Alaskans obtain grants and loans that address the unique needs of Alaska communities.

The event is free and representatives from Alaska tribes, communities, and nonprofits are welcome to attend; however, space is limited. Participants are encouraged to RSVP by clicking here.
