Today, Alaska Congressman Don Young joined Neil Cavuto on Fox Business News to discuss his recent appointment to the House-Senate Conference Committee to work on H.R. 1, the Tax Cut and Jobs Act. “This is a conference committee which means that, while both sides have a difference of opinion, our job is to meet and work through them,” said Congressman Young. “Our goal is to work together to get this bill done.”
To see the full interview, click here. House Speaker Paul Ryan named Congressman Young to the Conference Committee earlier this week. This Committee has been tasked with negotiating the final terms of the tax reform legislation which contains the pathway to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) Coastal Plain to responsible resource development. Congressman Young has consistently worked with his colleagues to allow for responsible resource development in ANWR, leading the House to pass ANWR legislation on 12 separate occasions. ### |
